IIT’s Public Safety Solution includes a comprehensive integrated Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), GPS/AVL Tracking, and Mobile Data Computer. It has been implemented for Police & Fire Departments across the country.  This solution is designed for mutual-aid requests. The largest deployment is state-wide across 23 cities and municipalities in CT.

Industry Challenges:
  1. Improved response time for first-responders
  2. Improved information sharing and access among neighboring towns leading to efficient use of resources during emergencies
  3. Improved prioritization and resource recommendations of 911 calls
  4. Computerize knowledge of routes, real-time resource availability, spatial situation awareness,  when responding to an incident

Key Features:
  1. GIS-Based:  Used existing street network and other GIS layers such as Parcel, Land Use / Zoning, Orthophotography, Building Footprint, Street Centerline, Easement, Census Data, Hydrants and Water Pipelines.
  2. Hardware Independent: Supports industry-leading hardware modems from Sierra Wireless (MP Series), AirLink, BlueTree, and Enfora (MTGu Series). Can interface with other GPS modems that use standard communication protocols – NMEA and TAIP.
  3. Wireless Carrier Independent: You choose the data plan, and the wireless carrier. IIT will simply integrate with the plan of your choice.
  4. Hazard Zones / HAZMAT: Easily creates and displays various emergency or disaster scenarios – bomb blasts, chemical spills, evacuation zones, etc. Vehicles that enter and exit hazard zones will trigger alarms to track accountability and safety exposure limits of personnel responding to emergencies. Allows you to import EPA’s Tier2 Submit information for quick map display.
  5. Geofencing Zones: Created Geofences with “point-and-click” digitizing on the map display or utilizing any GIS polygon layers to generate the zones.
  6. Award-Winning: Received Special Achievement in GIS Award by ESRI for deployment at Hartford Fire Department
